Wow, what an unforgettable experience this restaurant will give you. After a decade of hearing how great this place is, my work group and I decided to come. My colleague has been here dozens of times and bragged how good it was, and I have read how the quality is great here; but I never have made it here for one reason or another. Finally that day has come. This place has the perfect, old school steakhouse atmosphere. The waiters, seating, floors, walls, everything is as it should be to give you that feel. The waiters were superb and offered excellent service. The drinks were fantastic - I had dirty martinis and an espresso martini which were prepared perfectly. For dinner, we had a 2 porterhouse steaks and one ribeye with spinach, brussel sprouts, hash browns, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, and the house bread. Everything was fantastic - but the steak was the standout. It cut like butter and melted in your mouth. Do not put ketchup or steak sauce on it, as there is no need. This steak is a work of art and should be treated as such. I cannot wait to return and look forward to seeing you all again.

Great location and impeccable service. A go to midtown East staple for a great steak meal. Don't sleep on the hash browns and whipped potatoes.

Pretty great overall. The food was definitely delicious but didn't exactly blow me away. The service was a bit off at times but it was ok. My main complaint is we were sat in the corner in a high traffic area and my chair felt like it was in the way. I would definitely eat here again.

Definitely a NY staple, this steakhouse does not disappoint. Although it's not one my favorite steaks in the city, the service, food and everything about it is really good. I went during the unlimited wine Valentine's weekend and had a great time! Wedge Salad ~~ A solid. The sauce is a bit too 'mayonnaise'y' to my taste, but I loved the crispy bacon bits. Thick Bacon ~~ Delicious. Probably my favorite thick bacon in the city. Porterhouse Steak ~~ It was cooked to perfection. The taste was delicious it did not need any sauce whatsoever. So good. Throughout the dinner, the waiter kept on pouring the wine and was always available for any questions or anything we needed. Loved our experience.

Our group had a great time at Smith & Wollensky. The unlimited wine pouring with four different options and the delicious three-course meal made for a wonderful experience. The skirt steak was cooked perfectly and had an amazing flavor. Even the leftovers were still juicy! The service was incredibly efficient and made our large group feel welcomed. The generous desserts at the end of the meal were the perfect way to end the evening. However, the only downside was the behavior of some of the customers on the night we were there. Many people got drunk and behaved inappropriately for a classy steakhouse.

I visited Smith & Wollensky for their weekend wine dinner. It includes an appetizer, entree, dessert and unlimited wine and Prosecco for the amazing deal of $95. The food is delicious, perfect cook on our steaks and great seasoning. The service made the experience invaluable. Our waiters made my party feel at home and we even had a nice visit from the manager.
